We met at the Rte. 31 North site of Roger CullenÕs proposed storage business. The site is lot five of Meghan TweedyÕs recent subdivision, TM 11-27-5, which was one of the log landing sites for her logging operation. The lot has a large open area and an existing gravel drive off of Rte. 31. Cullen bought the 13.5-acre property with the idea of building a storage facility business and a shop for his construction business to house his equipment. We looked over the site plan, walked the parcel and he and Ferwerda answered our questions about the plan.

Cullen said he will have the gate far enough into the property to pull in off the road with a truck and trailer. The gate will have down lighting and will be a card entry. He will plant bushes needed to screen near the road. The gate and drive will be 2 car widths wide to accommodate passing vehicles. The shop is located nearest to the gate and is a 40ÕX60Õ metal building with doors on the gable ends. This is for his contracting businessÕs use. There will be vehicle storage parking behind that building and the driveway heads up the hill to an area that will accommodate 2 – 125Õx30Õ storage buildings with lighting on the gable ends and the ability to drive around the buildings. He will flatten that area taking the highest ground down 9 feet, using the material for fill. He has 3 rain garden areas to capture and infiltrate storm water as well as gravel areas along the buildings to capture storm water. There is an existing wetland area that will be preserved and protected from impairment. He said he would leave as many trees as possible to screen the buildings.

Cullen promised to send his Site Plan Application to us and we will look it over and set the Public Hearing date if all is in order.

The site visit was adjourned at 9:04AM.

Respectfully submitted,
