CIP committee members, Chute and Kluk, met with Selectmen: Eastman, Eaton, and Marshall, to review the Washington Town Buildings Capital Improvement spreadsheet.  The spreadsheet is a compilation of many reports (i.e. energy audits, building condition inspections, Meeting House committee reports) that have been done on the town buildings.

The purpose of the meeting was to obtain updates on the status of the capital improvements listed in the spreadsheet.  The Selectmen provided this information and Kluk will enter it in spreadsheet for future review by the Planning Board.

CIP committee members noted to the Selectmen that the next step in the process is to meet with department heads to review the capital improvement information for any changes that may have arisen since the original reports were published.  These meetings will be scheduled onsite at the respective departmentŐs building.  The Selectmen were asked if they represented the departments currently based in Town Hall or whether the committee should solicit input from these departments.  The Selectmen recommended that the committee obtain input directly from the various Town Hall departments.  The CIP committee will determine the most efficient approach for obtaining this input with regards to current plans for future Town Hall renovations.

Kluk asked the Selectmen if there was value in photographing both interiors and exteriors of buildings as visual reference for Planning Board members and if so, was there a single individual that could help facilitate access to the various town buildings.  Selectmen did not feel that photos would be beneficial.

CIP committee members thanked the Selectmen for their time and input and departed the meeting at 7:15 pm.

Respectfully submitted by Jean Kluk
